Second New Modelling Shoot

This is the second model shoot I did this past weekend. This is another model I contacted off of Model Mayhem, Brittany Flowers. She was a great model as they all have been off that site thus far. This was a fairly long shoot as we did 6 wardrobe changes and one lighting change. All and all, it went very well as you will see below.

For those of you interested, the only major software edits I used was Lightroom's skin softening tool. I still prefer to keep my processes mainly "in camera". That may be a future blog topic to write about.

Two Models, At The Same Time

I actually have two model posts to make today, the first just happens to actually have two models in it, Jill Green and Kathryn Chase. It was a pretty fun and  casual shoot, I'm actually really happy with how random the look of the images turned out. My only issue was this shoot, was that I wasn't paying attention to the glare off Jill's glasses as much as I should have, thus a lot of shots didn't turn out good. Still I was able to pick out several that are both funny and interesting at the same time, I also did a few individual shoots too.

I'm really happy with the lighting in these as well.

Cosplay!

Yes! Finally I get to put all my hard work into making some awesome cosplay shots with Bronwen Robbins. My nerd meter sparked early this year when I heard she designed cosplay fashion, and I knew then I wanted to work closely in her endeavours, as this is a sub culture that I want in to. I know just from research online that good photos are in high demand and I aim to provide, plus the subject matter, as I said, is just so cool to me! Enough geeking out, on to the photos. I used my model lighting technics to produce background effects for each costume that felt right for the character being represented. Without further delay, the images.

I also did some details of the Kingdom Hearts II Paine

Great work Bronwen and look for more to come as she finishes more costumes soon!

Bonjour, La, Bonjour

I recently had the great opportunity to shoot a rehearsal for the Theatre UNB production of "Bonjour, La, Bonjour" on January 29th, 2012 . The play stars Starring Armand Joshua Laplap, Gilberte Meaghan Farrah, Charlotte Kaleigh Stultz, Serge Alex Donovan, Lucienne Hannah Augur, Monique Sarah Farquhar, Denise Tiffany Badour, Nicole Stephanie Doucette and was directed by Len Falkenstein. It was an amazing experience to be all alone in the room watching the play unfold from beginning to end. Again I decided to shoot at a high ISO let the amazing lighting work speak for itself and just focus finding the best angles. Below is a selection of the best of the best and if you get a chance before February 4th, 2012, go see the production at Memorial Hall UNB at 8pm, it's well worth every penny.

Prepare for a lot of images!

Thanks to all involved for these great images and this amazing opportunity, I might set the camera and click the button, but the cast and crew are the real stars!
