New Blog For Cosplay

I decided to make a new blog just for Cosplay, it will go more in depth and show the difference between the captured image and the final edits. Hopefully people can use it as a learning tool.

Freddy Town Cosplay - FREX Fun!

Hey everyone, this one one hell of a fun shoot today! I'm part of a fairly new Facebook group called Freddy Town and Surrounding Area Cosplayers and today was a little meet and greet at the FREX (Fredericton Exhibition). I couldn't miss this one, I mean cosplay and carnival rides and games, oh hell yes. It was a small turn out, but a good group of wonderful youngsters, I hope I can go to more of these in the future.

To all those in the group that couldn't come, please come next time!

Fredericton Zombie Walk for The Food Bank 2012

Quick update, I had a chance to go to the Zombie Walk in support of the Fredericton Food Bank. I've never been to one of these but I can tell you it was a blast not to mention good exercise. They received lots of donations and everyone seemed happy and had a great time from what I could tell. Here are my pictures, I made a few in different versions, like black and white, I have a thing for old black and white horror flicks so I love the look for them. Also I got to try out this cool fisheye Polaroid filter I picked up, it's not the sharpest look, but it's a damn cool effect for about 1\10th the cost of an actual fisheye lens. I mean just look at this -

Anyway, enough photo geeking, on to the rest of the pictures.

Pretty cool stuff, I'm defiantly going next year too. And on a photo note, the rest of the shots that look normal were shot with a 50mm lens.

"Thank God. Thanks Dad!!" - Triple Bill Theatre Photos

I had the opportunity to photograph a great triple bill play "Thank God. Thanks Dad!!" at the Black Box Theatre on the St.Thomas University Campus. The plays were put on by Fancy Boys Theatre Company and starred Step Taylor and Jesse Guest with Chris Saad as Technical Director and Ben Wheelwright as Stage Manager. As the title implies the three plays were built around the questions of Christianity and family ethics. I will post the pictures along with title of each play and the cast. At the bottom of the post you'll find a link with more info on each one.

"Preacher Man" Written by and Starring Jesse Guest

"Jesus. Again." Written by and Starring Step Taylor

"Donny's Second Book" Written by and Starring Step Taylor and Jesse Guest

Highly entering and insightful work. Unfortunately the plays run ended on Saturday August 25, the night I shot it, or I would suggest that everyone go and see it. None the less you can get a taste of it here, hope you enjoyed the images!

Here is the link to the web info as well.
